Sponge rubber is an outstanding material for the production of sealing tapes and many other products. We produce longitudinal sponge rubber strips from a thickness of two millimetres upwards with a self-adhesive surface on one side as well on request. The sponge rubber strips are available in black and light grey by default.
Sponge rubber as sealing tape and for soft storage
Sponge rubber is made of natural rubber. The diversely usable elastomer product is very popular, particularly because of its mixed-cell structure. While the fabric-pattern outer skin has tight, closed cells, the inside of sponge rubber is spongy and porous. Its softness, elasticity and resilience make sponge rubber strips perfect for many different applications - both in the private and industrial areas.
The narrow sponge rubber strips are perfect specifically for work such as insulation and sealing against drafts. Sponge rubber also isolates well against sound. Wider strips can also be used for soft storage of sensitive objects. The soft, elastic material deflects impacts and vibrations outstandingly. The self-adhesive sponge rubber strips are often also used for stamp production or of the production of steel strip cuts. On request, the sponge rubber strips are also available in the design with unilaterally self-adhesive surfaces as a mounting aid.
